Nature vs. Cheese
Want to know why I prefer to take pictures of children when they are unaware, rather than posing:
Because this is the kind of shot you get of kids when you catch them playing:
Relaxed, natural, and as sweet as a ripe peach eaten straight off the tree.
But when you ask little kids to smile, you get this:
Stiff, unnatural, and as artificially sweet as saccharine.
I hate when they do that.
I have, for the record, cut my son's hair since these were taken. It still doesn't look any better, because he spent the entire haircut trying to get away while I held onto him for dear life. At least it's no longer in his eyes. :P
